An excellent cut-leaf variety with a fast-growing habit. Exceptionally dense and compact, and will not vine, creating a robust, mounded plant that adds a touch of paradise to any room. In its native home of South America, it's plentiful, gentle yet wild branches adorn the tropical rainforests of Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Indigenous cultures have upheld it for centuries as plant medicine.
As natural humidifiers and detoxifiers, use Philodendrons to purify the air and remove toxins such as benzene, formaldehyde and carbon monoxide. The Shangri-La Philodendron grows three to four feet wide and two to three feet tall. Though its leaves are large, it is a self-heading plant with a trunk that will easily support its own growth even in maturity.
