The Alocasia Morocco or Safari Morocco aka Alocasia Imperial Red is a Ivory Coast native sporting deep green leaves with a distinctive slender tip. Wild and unusual, this tropical beauty stands on uniquely bright red or pink stems. As a member of the Araceae family, this exotic Elephant Ear plant is widely cultivated in many tropical regions of the world with humid climates. Elephant ears can reach a large size fairly quickly and will create a bold focal point in your home.
Sunlight
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light. Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent burning. Dark corners should also be avoided. Several feet from a southwestern or southeastern exposure is best.
Water
Water 1 or 2 a week. The Morocco loves consistent moisture at the roots. Take care to allow the top 2" -3" to dry between waterings. Requires a very humid environment and above-average home humidity levels.
